      Green Street Park Improvements Project

Pursuant to MGL Chap. 30, sec 39M the City of Gloucester seeks sealed bids, for Green Street Park Improvements. The project includes reconstruction of the existing Green Street Park including a new softball field and associated field lighting; construction of a new parking lot and associated curbing, drainage collection, and infiltration system; limited utility work including sanitary sewer and potable water; resurfacing of an existing basketball court and parking lot; and other miscellaneous fitness equipment. The estimated value of the work is $1,750,000. Bids are due and will be opened at the Office of the Purchasing Agent, 9 Dale Ave., Gloucester, MA 01930 no later than 11:00 a.m. on May 5, 2023. Bid packages will be available at the Purchasing Office beginning April 12, 2023 by emailing . There will be a pre-bid meeting on April 20, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Green Street Park in the parking lot located at 10 Green St. Gloucester, MA. Prevailing wages & Davis Bacon wages apply. Bids must include a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of total bid.  The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment & Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the bid price.  The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to accept that which is deemed in the best interest of the City.  The City shall not be responsible for proposals arriving late for any reason.
