With downed trees and branches still strewn throughout the city, Gloucester officials are opening a special door to aid residents with the storm cleanup. As always, private contractors will not be allowed to dump.
The city's compost facility will be open Saturday September 3rd, due to the extensive damage from Sunday’s storm and the need to dispose of the debris.
The facility, located on Dogtown Road off Cherry Street, will be from a 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Anyone with questions may contact the Department of Public Works at 978-281-9785.
