Curbside collection of Christmas Trees will be the week of January 10th thru 14th, 2011 on your regular trash day. Please have trees out by 7:00 a.m. and be sure that they are free of decorations and lights. NO PLASTIC BAGS! Trees in plastic bags will not be collected!
Should you happen to miss curbside collection here are some other options:
1. Members of Boy Scout Troop 20 are offering their annual Christmas tree service to Rockport and Gloucester residents Saturday, Jan.15 between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Trees must be free of ornaments, lights, and tree stands and be put outside.The Scouts are requesting a $4 donation for each tree pickup. The money raised will go to support local Boy Scout Troop 20's trips, outings and equipment purchases. Please call 978-546-9501 with your name, address, telephone number and which day is best to pick up your tree. Or, e-mail the same information to treepickup@verizon.net.
2. You may bring your tree to Dogtown Compost Facility located on Dogtown Rd off Cherry Street on January 29th from 9:00 am to 3 pm.
3. You may bring your tree to Hiltz Disposal, 24 Kondelin Rd, Gloucester, Mon thru Fri, 7am - 4p.m. The fee for disposal is $10.
