Department of Public Works (DPW) Policy on Signs at Grant Circle Rotary (effective 5/23/2019)
Grant Circle Rotary, connecting RT 128 to Washington Street, is a gateway to our great City. It is home to the "Welcome to Gloucester" sign, an iconic landmark for nearly 30,000 residents and thousands of visitors and guests each year.
We appreciate and support all the great and worthy community causes and events that are promoted through signage at Grant Circle Rotary. In many instances, we have even granted special permission for signage for those that fall outside the current approval guidelines. However, signage has become unwieldy and unbecoming for the welcoming city that we are.
Effective immediately no signs will be allowed.
