Grants Division

The City of Gloucester Grants Division community development - grants.gifoversees several state and federal grant programs, including the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, HUD's HOME program, and local Community Preservation Funds, as well as several other grant programs. In this capacity the grants division also provides professional staff support to the Community Preservation Committee (CPC) and the City's Affordable Housing Trust. PY22 CAPER Draft AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC COMMENT

The Program Year 2023 Annual Action Plan Draft can be found by visiting: PY22 CAPER Draft.

Comments can be emailed or mailed to the Grants Division. Hard copies of the plan are available at the Community Development office, City Clerks office, and Sawyer Free Library temporary location. Copies available in additional languages upon request.

Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)

The Community Development Department utilizes Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to support local Public Services, Economic Development, First Time Homebuyer Down Payment Assistance, Housing Rehabilitation, and Public Facilities Projects.
