To Report a Missed Trash Pick-Up, Pothole, and more 

To contact the DPW to report a missed trash pick-up, report a pothole, etc, visit the City’s Citizen Request page. The Gloucester Department of Public Works is comprised of six divisions:

The business office on Poplar Street is the main contact point for all divisions.

UNFORTUNATELY,  WE CAN NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS, WE CAN ONLY ACCEPT CASH OR CHECKS.

After Hours Contact Information

  • For any after hours emergency situations concerning the Gloucester Department of Public Works, please contact the Gloucester Police Department at (978) 283-1212.
  • If your emergency is related to a STEP sewer system or City-maintained grinder sewer system, please call (800) 499-9070.
  • If your trash or recycling was missed, call JRM Hauling & Recycling at (800) 323-4285.
