Project: Trask Street Area
The Trask Street Area Public Improvements Project is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. on October 15, 2019.  This project will result in improvements to certain water mains & water services; make sewerage system improvements including pipe relining, pipe replacement, and manhole rehabilitation; complete sidewalk & curbing replacement; complete full width street paving; and place pavement markings & upgraded signage. The Contractor has until June 2021 to complete the project, fully, but the job is expected to be completed in a more timely manner.  This project may also lead the other public utilities, National Grid, Verizon, Comcast, etc. to undertake certain maintenance efforts on their infrastructure in the Neighborhood, as well.

The Contractor, N. Granese & Sons, Inc., will generally be working between 7 a.m and 5 p.m, Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays.  At times work may go later in the day due to unforeseen circumstances, and weekend work will almost never occur unless there is an emergency situation that needs to be addressed.

The following is an outline schedule for the Trask Street Area Improvements Project.

Work will start at 7 a.m. on October 15, 2019.  The initial work will involve Granese's efforts to layout by pass water pipe to insure uninterrupted water service for domestic use and fire flow. It is expected that this effort will take approximately two days (Tues 10/15 & Wed 10/16).  Once the temporary "main" is in place, it will be flushed and then tested to meet the Contract's and State's specifications, then the Contractor will connect the temporary main.  It is expected that this will be done Wed 10/16, Thurs 10/17 and Fri 10/18.

On approximately Monday, October 21, 2019, the Contractor will begin the work to replace the water mains beginning at the intersection of Sargent-Millett-Cedar Streets and will proceed up Warner to Trask Street ending at the intersection of Summit Street.
