Mission

This Commission was created by special act of the legislature . The Commission is charged with the responsibility of issuing a variety of licenses and permits under the authority of state and local laws pertaining to : second hand shops,taxicab drivers and taxi cab services,livery drivers ,raffles,auctions,vendors ,carnivals and carnival rides ,street musicians and entertainers ,automatic amusement devices, and modular homes. Fees for these license and permits are paid through the office of the City Clerk. Some matters must be scheduled as hearings before the commission and the commission also has regulatory authority to revoke or terminate licenses and permits under certain circumstances .
